Water rights through the Water150 token

The Longhouse Foundation sells a digital token, the Water150 token, that represents access to drinking water. These water rights give the owner the right to access one of the best naturally filtered drinking water on earth. All water rights fulfill the Water quality standard, a quality reassurance that the water is clean, high-quality, sustainable, democratized, and valued according to how we take care of water on earth.

The Longhouse Foundation handles the water rights and considers it a “loan” from our planet and future generations. The owner of a water right can choose to collect the water connected to it yearly, trade it in the secondary market depending on its own requirements, or simply hold the Water150 token.

A Water150 token does not give the right to just one (1) liter of drinking water. It provides the right to access one (1) liter of drinking water yearly and perpetually. We assure access to water supply because the supply comes from natural water sources - wells.

The next level of water right - the Water150 token

Buying water rights via the Water150 token means that the individual can secure the water they need for permanent survival since it is a yearly quota. It presents an interesting situation, considering the state of clean drinking water supply on earth. With this perspective, the Water150 token trade becomes static and only fulfills the personal need. However, Longhouse wants to add more value to this water right to ensure it remains beneficial for more people.

One human needs approximately 1,000 liters of clean drinking water to survive for a year. We pegged our token to one (1) liter per token and per year for perpetuity. This means that one human needs 1,000 Water150 tokens to secure their survival rights. By connecting this volume of water to each Water150 token, the water becomes a tradable asset, available to buy or sell on an open market. From a technical point of view, a digital token is a smart contract managed by a blockchain (or DLT) platform. The Water150 token is a utility token, meaning that it grants the right to access a service or goods, but it does not give equity rights.

By trading digital tokens instead of manual water right contracts, there are more possibilities to add additional utility to the token. The Water150 token comes with the following inherent values:

  • The right to access one (1) liter of clean drinking water yearly, throughout the year, indefinitely. The water collection is achieved through utilising the mechanics of the Drop token, which evidences the entitlement/ration for tapping right for water once every year.

  • The tapping right will be connected to a Drop token. This Drop token works as evidence of the right to tap water, and it will be airdropped to every Water150 token holder (1:1 basis) to collect on the first of January every year.

  • Users may select a water source where they may collect water when needed. The goal of the project is to provide a water source as close as possible to the owner.

  • The water can be tapped for a small fee, covering the actual cost price of filling, packaging and distribution.

  • The Water150 token can be exchanged/traded/traded.

  • The owner of the water rights can store them in their own digital wallet.

  • All Water150 tokens, no matter the water source, are fungible.

  • The value of the token is decided in the open market, just as for other utility tokens.

  • The token holder is contributing to all people getting the right to clean drinking water for their survival through the Longhouse foundation charity program.

  • The Water150 token holder indirectly preserves and ensures the long-term survival of natural drinking water.

  • The Water150 token holder will have the right to participate in courses, conferences, and water education programs.

  • The Water150 token holder will have the right to participate in summits, water festivals, and events.

  • Exercising all these rights, the token holder will be part of creating “the true value of water.”

Why trade Water150 tokens?

Today, many different actors understand the value of water. The dilemma is that around 800 million people don’t have access to clean drinking water, a critical resource for survival. If water becomes commoditized and people start trading for profit alone, more people will have problems accessing it. That is the critical situation we want to address to redirect the financial motivation to trade water.

The Water150 project facilitates a global water economy based on our novel Proof of Life concept, based on the global acceptance that water is fundamental to life. The project motivates and rewards participation in an ecosystem that involves water resources from 1 000 high quality regenerative water wells granting access to water for holders of 210 billion Water150 tokens, serving the token holders with the highest quality of water available worldwide.

Another interesting project parameter is the absence of any regulated economy or organic market price for water, with only a branch index correlated to organizations working with water business. Early traders who buy into the Water150 project through the Water150 token help set that market price.

There are four major financial reasons to trade Water150 tokens:

  1. Be a part of defining the price of natural water flow.

  2. Secure a trade supported by the physical supply of clean drinking water.

  3. Secure the yearly demand for clean drinking water for perpetuity.

  4. Helping people in dire need of their daily clean drinking water

How to buy a Water150 token

Initially, it will be possible to sign up for a Water150 token during a limited period, through our pre-sale event. During this event, people and organizations will be able to buy a predetermined amount of Water150 tokens. When the pre-sale period is over, we will send an email with instructions on registering the water right and getting access to the Water150 token.

The Water150 token will be sold through several market platforms when the pre-sale is over and the IDO is concluded. We will reach a broader audience through those platforms, both within the crypto society and beyond.

The Water150 token will be issued and offered for public sale through an Initial DEX Offering (IDO), as explained later in the tokenomics chapter. Water150 tokens will be listed and immediately tradable on decentralized exchanges (DEX) and potentially centralized exchanges (CEX). Water150 tokens acquired in the presale will be in a lockup and vesting period, as explained in the tokenomics chapter. However, while they are untradeable during the vesting period, the water rights will be available from the very beginning.

All Water150 tokens are fungible, no matter the water source. The water source connected to each Water150 token will be based on a future AI algorithm, considering aspects such as the geographical location of the token holder, the location of the water source, and accessibility to clean drinking water from these sources.

The Water150 Platform

In the future it will become possible to buy the Water150 token via Longhouse’s own platform. Through our platform, holders will receive all the benefits connected to the token.

How to use the Water150 Platform

In the future the customer can easily access Water150 Platform through our webpage either on your mobile phone, computer, or tablet. In the Water150 Platform, you register your details and the address to receive your water, if needed. We will use the address to recommend the closest water source to you and link the token to that water source.

The Water150 Platform will connect to external marketplaces to create a seamless experience for users buying or selling Water150 tokens.

Access to physical water – The drop token

The drop token is a claim token pegged to the resource which is water, giving its holder access to tap water from the system. Hence, tapping right is connected to the drop token. Throughout December, Water150 token holders can lock their Water150 token to pre-book water against their upcoming drop tokens for a specific date and it will be available for collection from the first day in January the coming year, every year.

Since we are working with natural water flow, it is impossible to distribute water to every destination on the same day. Suppose a well gets about 100,000 cubic meters per year, it means that 100,000/365 cubic meters flow through daily. We will allocate time slots for people to collect their water; from the first day of January every year.

As mentioned in the previous section, a Water150 token holder can access water through booking at the Water150 Platform. By simply pushing a button, they can choose the volume of water delivered and delivery details. It attracts a fee that covers the costs of transporting, packing, filling and distributing water to its destination.

The owner can also pay and pick up the water at the source to avoid transportation costs. Also, suppose there is a change of address, they need to update it through the platform for a new collection source to be automatically assigned, based on the AI algorithm.

Vote to impact the operations

Everyone connected through the Longhouse Wallet and owns at least 1,000 Water150 tokens can vote on different issues regarding the operation and development of the Longhouse ecosystem. As an example, they will be able to vote to decide where to drill the next charity well.

Exclusive events

Longhouse will organize several events connected to water. It can be anything from educational courses and conferences to natural experiences and activities based on water. These events will be exclusive for holders of a Longhouse Wallet with at least 1,000 Water150 tokens.

Transparency

Details about all Water150 tokens will be displayed in etherscan. Statistics will be shared in the Water150 Platform.

5.7 Longhouse Foundation Charity Program

Over time, Longhouse Foundation will create a new token handling the charity part of the business. The charity tokens will be completely separated from the Water150 token. Every human on earth will receive enough charity tokens for survival (out of a water need perspective). Initially, the charity token will be distributed to people in need, 1000 locked tokens per person. This corresponds to the yearly water requirement for survival.

The main purpose of the charity token is to get out as large quantities of water as possible to as many people as possible. Therefore the charity tokens will be locked and not tradable. The tokens will be distributed to the lawful owners according to local technical infrastructure and need. The project team will continuously prepare charity wells and projects while the DAO will vote on project priority.

Every charity token will generate its own drop token and through that drop token the water will be accessible for its owner. As its seperate locked token, this does not affect the market for Water150 token.

A part of the sales of Water150 tokens will finance the charity part of the project.
