Introduction

1. Longhouse

Historically, a Longhouse is a building where the Native Americans, Native Asians and the Nordic Vikings gathered to create democratic and sustainable systems between humanity and nature. Sustainability and biodiversity were the foundations of the system that harnessed human potential and possibility. The Longhouse Foundation is creating a modern version of historical longhouses with a mission to protect a world full of life and biodiversity.

The name, the idea, and the philosophy of the project come from the seven-generation philosophy, originating in the longhouses of ancient history.

In the last 150 years, we have seen rapid technological development globally. Although this development has been positive in many ways, it has also disrupted the balance between society, our planet, and technology, causing negative consequences for our environment and climate.

The founders of Longhouse strongly believe that we are merely borrowing nature from planet Earth, and future generations have equal rights to enjoy nature and its resources. Therefore, the Longhouse Foundation works to decentralize and democratize the distribution and management of the Earth's natural resources. We believe it is critical for humanity’s survival and future development for commercial entities not to control production and access to vital natural resources.

2. The ecosystem

The Longhouse ecosystem is one part of our plan to create a balance between nature and humanity. In nature, many small and large ecosystems thrive due to their symbiosis and closely linked relationships. The Longhouse ecosystem works in the same way. Each part feeds off the success of the others for the long-term viability of the model. The ecosystem has three pillars - Secure, Engage and Unite. We will explain each one in detail in subsequent chapters.

3. Company structure

1. Longhouse Water150 AB

Longhouse Water150 AB is a limited company based in Sweden. It is the organization that handles all the operations of the Water150 project. The company will have an exclusive agreement with the Longhouse Foundation and the Luxembourgian SA company, based on the purpose of selling water and water rights - all according to the principles of the Longhouse Foundation. The conditions in the agreement clearly define the rules and focus of the work for Longhouse Water150 AB.

Longhouse Water150 AB will be active in the global water market, mainly focusing on selling water rights, establishing and running new wells, distributing clean drinking water, and identifying and signing contracts with well owners for the Longhouse Foundation. The revenues in Longhouse Water150 AB will mainly be used to cover operation costs and compensate well owners.

The Longhouse Foundation will own a majority of the voting rights in Longhouse Water150 AB. As part of our mission to democratize and decentralize water rights, all dividend-paying shares will be sold to the Longhouse Foundation for a predetermined price when certain targets are met.

This change of ownership will happen over ten (10) years to implement a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) to ensure that the ecosystem does not cater to individual interests, profit, or other developments that are not in line with its mission. This unbiased governance structure eliminates the possibility of internal or third-party control of global 7 http://water150.io/

2. Longhouse Water150 SA

Longhouse Water150 SA is the issuer of our token The SA is working in and from Luxembourg, because of its well-developed regulations around crypto. The SA is owned by a Dutch foundation, called Bridge Foundation, with no individual owners.

3. The Longhouse Foundation

The Longhouse Foundation will be the link between humanity and nature. Hence, it strives to ensure a functioning ecosystem and a symbiotic relationship between humanity and nature, where each party prospers in the presence of the other. Its mission is to create an organ that cares for planet Earth in all aspects, especially nature, climate, and environment. Its vision is to reconnect humanity with nature and generate a grassroots movement working for abundant life on earth for the next seven (7) generations, 150 years, or until the movement becomes a part of society that the foundation is no longer needed.

The Longhouse Foundation is based in Sweden and operates by Swedish laws, rules, and frameworks. The Swedish model for foundations is among the world’s most solid and secure, meaning that it’s not possible to change a foundation’s purpose after setting them. The foundation will be led by one board with two forums - a commercial board of directors and a Natures advisory board, with representatives from all seven continents. The people in these two forums will have to share the direction, focus, drive, and vision of the Longhouse Foundation. They will use the wisdom, values, and norms from ancient civilizations and the indigenous people as guiding principles in their relationship with nature.

The commercial forum will be populated with people with extensive expertise in building a truly sustainable business to ensure the vision becomes a reality. To be elected to the board of directors, everyone needs to attend a three-year practical education within the Longhouse organization to learn and understand the true purpose and vision of the project.

The Longhouse Foundation has a raison d’être as long as dysfunctionality exists in harmony between nature and humanity. The Longhouse Foundation will no longer have a role when humanity learns to live in symbiosis with nature.

4. Water150 project

The Water150 project is the first project of the Longhouse Foundation. The project focuses on water - the most vital and elementary prerequisite for life - as a natural resource. Plants, animals, people, and other living organisms need water to survive. Accordingly, the Longhouse Foundation considers global access to water as a necessity. However, there are many problems today with access to clean drinking water. Water reservoirs are decreasing in many areas, mainly due to pollution and drought.

Every person needs a minimum of about two (2) liters of clean drinking water daily to survive. The Longhouse Foundation believes that the two-liters minimum requirement is at the bottom of the spectrum of a person’s daily needs. Consequently, Longhouse reviewed the minimum requirement and set it to 1m³ (1000 liters) of clean drinking water per person per year

The goal of the Water150 project is to secure the right to clean drinking water for everyone around the world. This goal is achievable by creating access to one liter of clean drinking water per year. The Longhouse Foundation is working to democratize and decentralize ownership and management of water as well as distribute this essential resource among everyone instead of concentrating power among a few people.

The world’s population is growing, and the Longhouse Foundation wants to ensure that everyone, today and in the future, will have access to clean drinking water. The project will create partnerships with well owners and establish contracts regarding the right to use their water. We will also drill our wells simultaneously to ensure sufficient supply. The Water150 project will also reserve water resources for charitable causes to serve people in vulnerable situations and humanitarian crises. Every Water150 well dedicated to charitable causes will meet the Water quality standardl’s standards for safe and clean drinking water.
